Asoleado o Asado, Cyanotype on Fabric, 84 x 30 inches each, On-Site Installation at The Kampong, 2019 Photographed by Luis Velasco, 2019

Asoleado o Asado is a product of investigating the relationship between the sun’s radiation (sunlight) and our skin, through the photographic proess of cyanotype. The sun culture in South Florida, specifically Miami, influenced the artist to develop a research methadology in order to measure the way sunlight envelops the body. This process is done through the use of cyanotype treated frabric as an intermediate factor that records what would be touching the skin.

Exhibited during “The Future Ain’t What It Used To Be” at The Kampong  for Art Basel 2019.
